Join naturalist and wetland scientist John Dick to explore interdunal swales, with a focus on spadefoot and piping plover habitat. He will discuss coastal sedimentary processes and vegetative cover, and there will be wading and dipnets. Participants are expected to include The Trustees of the Reservations and NHESP representatives, as well as AMWS members.

Join Us for Breakfast Before Walking!

Please join us at 8 a.m. for breakfast at Sophia’s in downtown Ipswich before we head to the dunes around 8:45. Sophia sets a fine table and is located at 39 Market Street, Ipswich.

Directions: Crane Beach is near 290 Argilla Road, Ipswich. Google map will send you to the Crane Estate, which is a left turn off of Argilla Road. Just stay right on Argilla until you find the guard shack at the parking lot. Tell them you’re there for the Trustees dune workshop, and looking for the trailhead.
